6x6 4BD1T - engine mount width between chassis rails same as 110 4x4?

Just finalising all the various bits and pieces to convert my 130 to 4BD1T/LT95.
The engine I have is an AFM 6x6 that now runs beautifully.
I have a wrecked half cut 110 perentie chassis- will remove the engine mounts and fit to my 130 (plated, and crush tubes).
Just wondering if the chassis width between rails is identical between the 4x4 and 6x6. I'll need to source 4x4 engine mounts if not.
    Anybody able to say definitively?

Chassis width would be way wider........would surprise me if they used the same engine mount that the 4x4 has but with an extended bracket.

    What year 130??

As weeds said the chassis is a lot wider and they made up bolt on brackets for the chassis to reach the engine mounts. The RH mount (on the engine) is the same as the 4x4 but the LH one is different as it has the 24V generator mount added onto it. When I was fitting the a/c onto mine I decided to put a 4x4 mount there instead of cutting the generator mount off the engine mount. When I went to bolt it up to the chassis it wouldn't line up with the bolt holes so I had to remove it and go back and cut the original and refit. So either get a 4x4 lh mount or weld the chassis bracket to suit the 6x6 one.

Brian, not to be stealing the thread, but body wise, whats the difference between a civvy and a 6x6?
Being 6'5", i don't fit well in a defender, but if i did, i'd be all over one😊

6x6 wide cab and narrow cab are different the narrow cab is similar to the 4X4.. diesel and V8 are different shape.
the mount bolts on to the chassis to allow different engines to be used and simplify assembley.

4X4 4bd1 is a V8 chasis with the petrol mounts cut off and a bracket wielded in a different position. The LH engine mount was removed from the new engine cut off and welded to a flat steel plate to allow it to be closer to the block. the same was done with the 6X6 to keep the mounting standard.

The bump stop was also cut off and a spacer added.

the brackets welded on to the chassis was new material not salvaged to allow for compliance. Both imported genuine parts and locally fabricated pieces are used on 4X4 chassis.

I'm not sure you would get much more space......the drivers seat maybe a little more inbound when compared to the 4x4. From memory with your seat a the way back you have to lean forward to pop the elbow out.

It would be good if they had sliding window and no door trim, this would give more leg space.

Mate you would fit good in a 6x6. Lots more leg room, heaps of head room (I even have my akubra mounted from the roof and still don't go anywhere near touching it) and lots wider between the 2 seats. I'm 5' 10" and have heaps of leg room, lots more than a 4x4. On a long trip I lock the throttle at whatever speed I want to do and just sit back and relax. Even better now with aircon!! and a few more ponies pulling.
