I would wind the fuel back 1/4 turn. See how it goes and then maybe another 1/4. You are not just looking for lower egts, but a sweet spot for the turbo setup.
G'day all, when it's above 30 degrees outside, loaded up and cruising up long hills on hwy or low range in bush on long Hills, the temp starts to climb to 100. Boost between about 5 - 20 psi only half throttle at best, egt not over about 600. Is this ok or should I do something about it? Sometimes feels like it will boil if hill was any longer. Still running standard fan, was wondering if I replaced it with a twin electric fan set up it would be better, especially for low speed work. was also wondering on the condition of the water pump impellers. The radiator is good, had tanks of and roded before our Cape York trip.

Have you touched the tune since matt had it? Because i wouldn't, it ran sweet.
Have you looked into putting the truck clutch fan on? Its much bigger than the standard flex fan.
No haven't touched it but have wondered if it would benefit from a professional tune, but as you said it runs sweet and think it would be a waste of money. But I have herd all the stories of turning fuel and boost down can actually improve performance so always wonder, but if it ain't broke don't fix it!
And Steve I did have the thermostat out last time I flushed the coolant before our Cape York trip and it looked quite new still, is 82deg, but I didn't test it admittedly.
Assume your WTA radiator is clear and not restricting airflow?
I'd definitely test the t/stat. Have personally had failures in other vehicles even within a few months of fitting, so never trust them when there are cooling issues.

Good idea, will test thermostat to rule it out and go from there. Will also properly check IC isn't blocked. another thing I've thought about is the modified heater hose is the highest part of the cooling system possibly trapping air and affecting the cooling? Even considered fitting a bleed valve in the hose.
