    Edic motor adjustment

Does anyone know if you can adjust the edic motor?
When i switch mine off the motor spins past its full cable extension cycle if you know what i mean.
So motor goes to turn off but turns back on again just.

From memory, inside is a worm drive, and the contacts for controlling the extension/retraction are on tracks on the driven wheel. IIRC the pins for extend/retract are different - ie apply power to extend pin and it extends and then breaks the extend circuit once its fully out. At that point the retract circuit contacts are made on the worm wheel and its ready to receive power on the retract pin.
Sounds to me like you've got both the extend and retract pins powered....

Hmm ok. Well i used that wiring diagram you posted. It spins 180? between the off position and the on position, its just that the shaft the cable goes on is in the wrong position in relation to where the cable should be fully extended

Sounds more like a edic relay issue than a mechanical one

Sorry Keith, seen as my vehicle is 94, it then makes it illegal.

I had an issue with corrosion on the pins of mine which made it do some strange things.
Might be worth pulling it out and cleaning the plug contacts

Relay is fine, it cycles perfectly (180?), its just clocking in the wrong position.
Don't know whether its a mazda thing or not. (Mazda t3500 edic motor)

Mine is T3500 also. Yes, it goes slightly past "TDC" but the amount it retracts as a result is only very small.

Mine has a threaded adjuster on the mount bracket which attaches to the inlet manifold. I don't recall if it was part of the T3500 EDIC or came with the engine but I recall messing with the manifold mount to get it to fit.
