I thought this was a MMC truck part (not same as County) but 12v, which probably explains why they were so pricey.

Just found the MMC part no.

I am not familiar with the army stuff but I thought they had a different Flywheel housing.
Mine is the two bolt, Is the Army the same or a three bolt?

Damian, if you have a line to Sheldon, I just wanted to confirm that that starter fits even though the solenoid is against the block.
Remind him I bought the first LT95 to MSA conversion he made about, I dunno, 16 or 17 years ago. Steel pipe and a couple of plates

That army Mitsubishi waterproof one (M3T67471) is a 3 bolt starter. The county's also is a 3 bolt one but OE is Nippondenso. And yes different flywheel housing and starters to the truck motors.
    Cheers......Brian

Try TVH Australia forklift supplies. They found a 12v starter to suit the Isuzu for me several years ago only cost around $380 from memory. Isuzu were quoting around $1000 for one

    Still sorting starters.
Tried Sheldons one but the solenoid sticks out further than my 24 volt one and fouls the chassis. Remember this is a series not a Perentie.
It also had a 32mm pinion not a 35mm that my 24 volt one has.
I would really like a gear drive like this one. but its 24 volt only.
    Starter Motor for Isuzu NKR200 NKR57 NKR58 4BB1 4BC2 4BD1 4BE1 Diesel 24V | eBay
That would get the pinion above the chassis.
There are 12 volt gear drives for Holden Jackeroos etc with the same mounting but the only have a 32mm pinion even though 9 tooth.
I wonder if pinions can be swapped from 32 to 35.
