my truck is 83 stage 1.
Stage 1 setup is different. Mine has the aircleaner held by two straps to a platform made of angle iron bolted to the back of the engine. The wing nuts holding these are only a centimetre or so from the back of the rocker cover. From memory, the aircleaner is bigger than on the Stage1 as well. The intake to the aircleaner is via a hose from the RH end underneath to under the right hand mudguard between the inner and outer guard, below the grille on top of the guard - different on the S3. There is a dump valve under the LH end of the air cleaner.

Alternatively, they are a Donaldson part you can buy through truck places.
OK now, welded up. Should last for a few years at least.
