He says it was a V8 originally. When he moved to QLD he had to get it Engineered.

Yeah Kaa45 got it right, as it was a v8 on the compliance plate I had to have the engine (and long range tank) engineer approved. This is only a QLD requirement as the other states I have had it registered in did not as it was a standard factory fitment, I wonder how many 4wd are getting around QLD without engineering approval for their long range fuel tanks? Would make things a lot easier for everyone if every state didn't have its own registration laws.

I got my county from QLD and it had a blue plate because the previous owner had taken the back side facing seats out. It was registered as 5 seater in QLD. I put them back in for the Vicroads inspection and registered as a 9 seater. No problems. Qld is strange :eek:
