    Exhaust Plumbing

    Hi,
I have 85 county with 4bd1 na. The exhaust comes through the inner guard then under the body. Has anyone had problems with larger wheels and tyres hitting the exhaust while offroad? Has the location of the exhaust been a problem for fitting rock sliders?

No, but then I have not fitted either larger tyres or sliders. The big advantage is that it leaves a nice open space between the prop shaft and the chassis that just asks to be filled with a fuel tank. Holds 60 litres, quites a bit more than you would fit in a sill tank.

yes and no - offset the rims and shouldn't be a problem.... BUT you might need a trim of the guards

33's will rub on the stock exhaust. But it it is cheap and easy to get it modded to clear.

I have never had it rub offroad. No problems with fitting sliders.

I am just about to change to a 3" though, so will be interesting to see how that clears...

32"s rub on my 120", just depends who fitted the exhaust and how tightly it was done, when I stick a turbo on it, it will be sorted, look out for "how to turbo an Isuzu in a weekend"

Dobbo recently modified his so the 33" Simex wouldn't rub. Mine was modded by a previous owner.

Andy beat you - did the install in a day apparently... (though it did take him a year to fab/accumulate all the bits).
