OK - I did a quick test tonight.

It can get it to sit on 10+psi boost from just under 40 to just over 80 km/h in 3rd (speedo is spot on with 33's).

    I make that 1250 to 2600 rpm. I certainly can't complain...

John - thanks - I think the fuelling could use more tweaking too. will be doing that soon.

Re the boost gauge - I posted the same on OL - apparently a nozze/orifice will solve the problem (at least partially).

Re the boost gauge issue, it is good practice to use capillary tube in line to pressure gauges for industrial use (mini-mess system or copper). Some gauges have capillary in their fitting. Hyd places should have the capillary tube.

As I posted in the fuel ecconomy thread:

Just completed a trip - Perth - Adl - Melb - Tas - Syd - Dubbo - Broken Hill - Clare (SA) - Port Lincoln - Perth. Total just over 15k km.

110 County, 4BD1T (see conversion thread for specs), 255/85-16s.
4 people, 70L water, 120L diesel, Engel, usual camping and cooking gear etc, etc on board. Picked up 2x 8274 winches along the way.

    Best Economy: 10.2 L/100 Norseman-Corrigin - dirt road!!!
Worst Economy: 17.2 L/100 Sitting on 120+ into a HUGE headwind W-E across the Nullarbor (average EGT was 650+ across this stretch!!!)

    Average Economy W-E Across Nullarbor: 14.1 L/100 (sitting on 120 - headwind, EGT 600-700, Boost 6-11 psi)
    Average Economy E-W Across Nullarbor: 12.3 L/100 (sitting on 110 - tailwind, EGT 400-500, Boost 4-6psi )

Average Economy WHOLE TRIP: 12.9 L/100

Speedo is 100% accurate with the 33's (well 300m every 100km discrepancy with the GPS). The figures I posted previously were with 32's, so probably a bit better than reality.
Very happy overall, except for the EGTs.

On steep hills or with a headwind, it was possible to get 750+ if you pushed it too hard. I might pull the thermocouple out and calibrate it to make sure. I am also concerned since it is only measuring the EGT from #1.

The Intercooler will be completed ASAP, and hopefully that will make a difference.

    Good results.
More boost will lower your EGT's.

Boost guage is a VDO 0-30 psi. One annoying thing is it makes a ticking/rattling sound internally when off boost. I think it might be a diesel rattle that is transferred along the tube - anyone else have this???

I had the same problem with my boost gauge - solution: I put a roll-your-own cigarette filter in the line to the gauge - no more rattle and gauge response not affected - I still have the packet of filters - I can post some to you if you like

Thanks for that - even better than fitting a metal restrictor. If you can pop one in the post that would be great!
