Where is the best place to pickup the air filters ?

The local repco will do just about all but a new air filter

Despite using various brands & different sources, I've found that often the oil filter elements (LR # 1878102201 to suit OEM civilian 4BD1 N/A) are packaged with the wrong sized o-ring. The small o-ring for the large bolt that clamps the housing to its base is correct, but the large o-ring for the base itself is usually both (slightly) too large in OD and too small in section. This happened again with my last filter purchase, and since I've re-used the old o-ring three times already, I decided I'd better buy some separately.

The correct size o-ring, sourced from CBC Bearings, is:
    Part No. BS242
    ID 101.6mm
    OD 107.95mm
    Section 3.53mm

I've fitted one of these CBC 0-rings with a new filter and no leaks. Oh, and if you're in Canberra, CBC Fyshwick are now out of stock but are willing to order more in. Cost is about $2 ea.

Should I be ordering a genuine drive belt from LR? Or are there generic V belts that fit?

    Same questions for A/C belt...

Just go to a bearing shop (CBC, etc) with the numbers off the old drive belt. V-belts are standard items and are sized according to circumference and width, both in mm. The fan belt is 13 mm wide, the AC belts are 10(?) mm.

Note that I have NEVER bought any engine parts from LR, however I have bought parts from ISUZU.

No, sorry, but the OEM guage is prone to failure. Now might be a good time to upgrade both the sender and guage to VDO like many of us have done.
