    Just fitted a new starter, $650 fitted all up, and i was told that that was a good deal, so i will grab an extra one for a couple of hundy for sure

    Is it just me or does that not look anything like my starter on a 81 4bd1? I dont have the old girl here to check but it dosent look familier.

    Looks exactly the same as mine. It would not be surprising if the motor had different starters fitted through its life.

    Hi all, Here's a picture of my starter as it looks installed in my 4DB1T as it hangs from my shop crane. The starter looks just like mine.

    I should also point out you need the correct fly wheel housing for the three bolt starter the one labeled landy is the one you need.
