Would anyone be interested in a new starter motor for 4BD1 motors. A friend of mine in Canada has got onto some for approx USD$150 plus what it costs to get to Australia. Photos attached. Let me know by Friday if you can please. I am going to be away from tonight until Thursday night so wont be ablt to answer any questions until then but I think it is self explanatory.

To avoid duty, GST, clearing charges, you need to keep them in parcels of less than AU$1000. Mail is cheapest. Does Canada still have a surface mail service to Australia? US Post Office withdrew theirs in May 2007. Air mail from the USA is still lots cheaper than commercial carriers. At current exchange rate US $150 is about AU$220-230 when you include the credit card providers commission. Air mail from USA in the vicinity of US $85, AU$120. I import machine shop supplies from the USA and a factor of US wholesale price x3 is a good rule of thumb to estimate an AU$ selling price that includes a reasonable bu not excessive profit margin.

US Post Office used to quote 8-13 weeks for surface mail. I have had parcels take less and more. Way to go if you are not in urgent need. My experiences with DHL, Fedex, UPS are that the service is good and quick but the charges are outrageous. I get air mail parcels from New York in 5-9 days.
