    Advantages of Polishing

With my having to return my Grand daughter to Yass in the next few days, I got to thinking of the prospects of driving through the anticipated locust plague. Having been there before, it occurred to me that they would be a lot easier to get off if I gave the old girl a polish.

So this morning I set to and washed and polished her. While doing so I found two relatively minor problems, which could have taken a lot longer to find without going over the outside with a cloth. These were:-

    1. Another "popped" rivet on the bonnet. The Isuzu vibration is literally rivet popping!

    2. The left hand windscreen hinge was loose on the windscreen frame. This is probably the rattle in the dash I have been looking for, although I have not done a test run yet.

No, probably won't until late tomorrow - busy getting packed and organised. I have to take back to Yass a bunch of stuff that my son could not fit in his commodore - including a doll's house that will just about fill the back of the County and two beds and a fridge in the box trailer.

    So you've either:
    (a) gone deaf
    (b) got polish stuck in your ears
    (c) bought a Range Rover

Do you think it will improve the top speed too

Only stopped that particular rattle, not by any means all of them. I don't think it affected the speed, but I brought a trailer down.

I heard they were putting baby oil into a pump spray and spraying that on the front of the car to make the locusts easier to remove ... hate to get it on the screen though
