I just checked with Ashdowns in Townsville and they dont recognise that number (Alt160502). Maybe thats just a number for AEA. He couldnt even cross reference it to anything. Are we sure its a Hitachi. If it is, it should have a Hitachi number.

There is a second hand 60A Hitachi on ebay. Its from a Nissan 4.2 diesel but appears to have the same mounts (i think they are pretty standard) and has the vac pump. Item number is 230326574881. Start price is $50 I think and has 4 days to go.

I bought a second hand 12 volt 90A Hitachi which was fitted to a Nissan. It was an exact match to the 24 volt one I removed from the truck. The pullies swapped no worries and it all bolted in the same.

I have the same issue with mine........have to hold my foot on the brake for the engine to switch off.
