    New 4BD1 Turbo

Inside word from Isuzu is they are making 4BD1T service engines - new engines, ex Isuzu Japan!

    4BD1TLB SERVICE ENGINE; LONG BLOCK

If you check out the attachment you will see what you do and dont get. Isuzu Australia have not said anything about this yet but I hear they have them available.

No price confirmed - from what I here approx $7,500.00 +gst???

Can guarentee not from China. Geniune Isuzu. I checked through Zenith Engineering in Brisbane - authorised Isuzu distributor. Has Isuzu Australia material and warranty.

They tell me there are a whole range of these older engines now being produced in this format by Isuzu to cater for the re-power market.

That seems a bit steep when you can get a new, complete (fan-flywheel) 4HE1 for $11500 - including turbo and injector pump.

A bit harder to fit, but a huge increase in power and torque.

4BG1T marine spec, 200hp@2800rpm so peak torque must be around 550Nm.

    Should bolt up

4BG1T marine spec is turbo intercooled and fully marinesed (heat exhanger). Have attached some specs I have - not a good fit

If 4BG1 is ok, what about 4BG1TCW turbo intercooled (refer attached)?

The 4HE1 looks like reco? I have'nt seen those coloured torque mark bolt heads on new?? Has anyone priced a new engine ex Isuzu???

I don't get the thing with truck motors in Landies.

My mate is doing same and I will not go in it.
Its way too noisy and I feel like a filling is about to pop everytime we take off.

I know they are good motors and very reliable but they are so agriculture.

They pull trees out of the ground by their roots and all but why I ask.
I appreciate the excitement of them being made new again in Japan also but why not install a refined motor for that sort of money.

The only people that I ever see drive Isuzu Landies are bearded men, Is that a common denominator or just coincidence.

On the other hand, each to their own and why not have a motor that outlives us all.

Hmmm, interesting note on the bearded thing, kinda true actually, although Ben is rather clean cut and Damien..........well, he doesn;t have a beard, not quite so clean cut but, dunno if mines a beard though, bum fluff?

Because they start, go, produce reasonable power and fuel economy, all while they rattle Rovers to bits one by one, as they get passed down, from rover to rover

I've put in/had/driven, most engine combinations and am finally happy with mine....for a change. It could have more power, but I'm retarded like that, it could be more refined, but then it won;t be a stoopid motor that goes faultlessly, everytime, overheat it? it don;t care, rev it? its governed, how do you kill it?, yet to find out
