The distance from the turbo to the inside edge of the guard (perpendicular to ports 2 & 3) is 255mm.
The compressor sits about 55mm above the top of the tappet cover.
I don't have a part no. I have a spare will have a close look tomorrow for part no.
The flex pipe is the air intake. The filter has been flipped so intake is currently on passenger side.
I have one of those slow projects in the yard. A 120 Isuzu.
On ebay at present is an "OEM Isuzu 4BD1T top mount turbo manifold made for a Garrett T25 or T28 style turbo. This manifold was fitted in early NPR Australian Isuzu trucks. It will also fit the Isuzu 4BE & 4BG type motor. The manifold is in excellent used condition - no cracks or warping. It may be used in a Land Rover 110 County fitted with a Isuzu motor."
It is cheap.....will it be OK with clearance to bonnet or should I go the side mount manifold style?
My plan is to now get the beast registered with engineering certificate (middle seat removed). Then fit the turbo. Or will I need that certified when that is done.
I have brackets for the 4bd1T air compressor and brackets for the County air as fitted by Land Rover. Is it possible to have both the turbo and air?
I am not a mechanic but learning as I go.

With a T25 turbo you will be definitely be OK for bonnet clearance as the turbo will just bolt straight up to the manifold.
If you want to install something with a different flange and have to make up adapter plates etc then it may not have enough clearance. I had the issue when I was trying to install a GT2256V on that type of manifold.

If it's the one that was for sale on ebay a while ago cheap, it may be a different type that mounts the turbo higher, as flagg said. I think Dougal has posted pics of the different ones. It may not work without a raised bonnet.
I'll post pics and measurements over the weekend. It will be tight if it does fit..Quote:

I have been buying more bits and pieces for my 85 Isuzu project and need encouragement sometimes to keep going, it is a big project - try lifting the engine and gearbox with a cheap engine crane!
Also are there any members on the forum living western Sydney with a turbo Isuzu that I can see and get some ideas from?

Yeah I'm using the 6258. I don't know anyone else how has used one yet so it will be interesting to see how it goes. The firewall replacement is something ive been putting off for years... The worst part is that in doing it you find so many other things that need fixing :(Quote:

You are dead right, its hard to keep motivated sometimes. I've been away for work for ages, but should be back full time in a few weeks and take some time off to work on it full time.

My rebuild took 5 years.
In between starting the project and now I think I replaced nearly everything but the motor, pedal boxes, chassis and compliance plate.
It's now a really good vehicle.
My cheap engine crane lifts my Isuzu fine on full reach and returned to it's original shape afterwards. :DQuote:
