    The rocker cover seems to be an inner and outer shell of pressed steel with rubber/foam in between. I still haven't weighed it compared to the old one though. It will only be quieter if it is heavier than the alum/steel one that is on there now.

    Mine has no foam between the layers, just a rubber seal where the two meet and a rubbe isolaters bolting the two halves together.
