exhaust manifold gaskets
Can turbo exhaust manifold gaskets be used on a non-turbo engine? Are the only differences in the material they're made from due to greater heat from turbo/manifold?

From L to R: old early 4BD1 fibre-type gasket; old '86 NPR turbo gasket; new (later style?/genuine?) gasket as supplied by independent parts supplier

My 4BD1-T engine is an 89 from an Isuzu truck. It had the 2nd style gaskets, and these were also in a gasket set I bought recently.
Comparing the 1st and 2nd gaskets, the bolt holes centres are closer together on the 1st gasket.
The port openings are also different, but I found the opening in the 2nd style gaskets was much larger than the ports in the head and manifold. The port opening in the 1st gasket would be a closer match with my exhaust ports.

The 2nd type gasket is the one Isuzu sold me when I did my turbo conversion.
