    LT95 fitted...

and i am impressed so far with the driverabilty compared to what was in it. :P

whole thing seems tobe a better arrangement and with way less slack in the drivechain.

the box has an issue with 2nd gear syncro so will be going back to BOR under warranty but there is no issue with that at this stage as i was forewarned but it isnt improving as hoped so will be replaced.

much better setup than what i had and i hope to be adding an overdrive to it in the future for those longer trips on flat roads :P

serial number on box appears to be 4000234A if that means anything?

Good to hear !! ( or read )

I took mine out today & 100klm/hr seems pretty OK.
Too many camera's in Vic to go any faster anyway.

plenty of good LT95's around inc if you need to swap it out unlike the LT85 you had! Plus they only sell for beer money (unless it s a taper roller)

$800.00 at this place, beats the hell out of other prices floating around.

BTW Dave, the second gear could be a case of the gear lever rubber grommet fouling. It is the case with mine, hopefully a simple fix, like mine, slip the grommet off to see if this is happening..

You're old setup probably had wear on the LT85 output shaft / LT230 transfer box input gear. A cross drilled input gear on the LT230 prevents that from ever happening again. There's no slack in my 110 Isuzu's LT85 setup's drivetrain whatsoever, although this year I've fitted a brand new (crated) solid case gearbox, Ascroft reconditioned transfer case and new prop uni's throughout.

I like my 5th gear and wouldn't lose it for anything, I couldn't imaging doing 110km/h for any distance in 4th gear.

it had plenty of wear and had taken the brunt of a patrol up it's arse which didnt help, not that i am really aware of it doing any harm it has to be said.

none of it leaked, which always amazed me.

5th gear will be missed, but the overall gearing on the old setup drove me nuts... 100kph @ 1800 rpm was nice but it was way too tall to be usable for what i use it for.. and how i have it set up.

just have to get an overdrive and that will see me setup as i would like it to be.

400 000 plus klm and my 95 crunches into second if i push the Gear lever to far to the left instead of just coming strait back. crunches shifting down into 3rd not if i double the clutch and get the reves correct.
