If you hadn't found a problem with the armature, I was going to ask if each magnet is installed with the North and South poles oriented in the correct direction. I don't know if they are made so this can't happen - just a thought.

I've been following this thread for a while now as I'm having a similar problem with mine, only that mine starts fine but won't shutdown. I have to either stall it or shutdown by hand under the bonet.

Is it possible that my actuator is stuck in the open or on position? I get the feeling that mine is a wiring problem as it used to be intermittent and if it wouldn't shutdown I could wiggle the relay and it would stop. But now I get no noise from the actuator at all when I turn the ignition on or off.

not an uncommon problem. has your alt been upgraded? if you turn the key off then put you foot on the brakes, she stops then? or any other electrical load?

I think I exchanged emails with them last year, it was going to be about $260.
I have just been emailed back and they are asking for a part number? In their catalogue it comes up as a Jedico Off Engine switch with no part number

What should i submit to them?

Not sure about alt upgrade, but the only way it will stop is if I stall it or shut it down by hand under the bonnet (decompression lever thing).
