    How much power to make a Mini REALLY go?

    "The unfathomably large QSK78 was recently unveiled with 78 liters of displacement, eighteen cylinders (that's 4.3 liters per cylinder!), a dozen turbochargers, 3,500 horsepower and over 10,000 lb-ft of torque. It's used to power those enormous dump trucks seen schlepping heavy loads (try 360 metric tons on for size) around quarries and mines. And now it's been installed in a vintage Austin Mini."

    no need to, you just point the air intakes forwards ,the exhaust rearward and pressure differential does the rest.

    (I've seen something similar done before to showcase big engines for "impress the bigwig" reasons at expos.)

    I wonder how long an overhaul will take? I have a customer who specialises in rebuilds of K series V16's. He says it takes him four weeks if no delays with parts or machine shop. Several days just to dismantle, clean, inspect, and measure.

    I was thinking more along the lines of............ give the throttle a "blip", and watch the whole thing roll sideways.
