    Mark Webber move to Porsche

Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber reportedly signs five-year deal to lead Porsche in Le Mans

I do not blame Mark, last year his car was the only one that have mayor problems in the team and this year they stuffed his take off with the software, then Vettel did not followed team orders and in the last race the team put less fuel in the tank during classification to make sure that we was not going to be close to his "team mate"
He have the option to start in 14 position but the team director put the car to start on the pits.
Mark have a good plan and after few laps he was next to Vettel.
It was not good, one of the members of his team left one of the back wheel nut loose.
    A mistake I guess ....................

good on him, his only move in f1 would be to a lesser team so this sorts his future if it is true.

yesterdays race was a shocker for him.

Good to see. I have a lot of respect for him and look forward to seeing him at le mans. The cars are SO MUCH SEXIER than f1 anyway

    Finally. This is good news.

Although I'll be sorry to see him leave F1, I think he has the ability to do well at Le Mans. Hopefully it will raise the profile of sports car racing in this country too and we'll get some decent coverage. Its much better racing than F1.

    Cheers

And have been for several years,

Dr Helmut Marko is an 'advisor' to he team but wields enormous power and is firmly behind Vettels ascendency.

Any of the previous coming togethers he's always backed Vettel over Webber, even when it was obviously to most observers it was Vettels fault.

Way back when he was running an F3000 team he had J-P Montoya as a lead driver and had another bloke called Craig Lowndes placed there by the late Tom Walkinshaw.

Marko just took the money and screwed Lowndes.

They gave him no time in the car to get to learn the tracks, gave him a novice engineer who was unused to the category, wouldn't share data from Montoyas car and wouldn't use new development bits on Lowndes car.
Marko dismissed Lowndes as rent-a-driver and not professional as Lowndes took time, as he'd been taught in Australia by his mentor Peter Brock, to meet and greet the fans, talk to them, etc.
To Marko this was a weakness and a sure sign he was just a glory seeker.
Marko ran a successful car but not a team, his priority was one car and one car only.
I'd reckon Walkinshaw was ****ed off as it was his money that was actually funding not his driver, but Montoya.

The bloke's unscrupulous from what I've observed over the years, not someone I'd trust or choose to spend any time with.
Everything that's happened to MW doesn't surprise me in the slightest with Marko actually calling the shots, he wields more influence politically than Horner, much more, and answers directly to Mateschitz. (Mr Red Bull)
From what F1 insiders have said, Mateschitz knows little of what is happening in the team, only what he's told by Marko and Horner.

Nobody anywhere (at least that I've read) has suggested that Webber will be at Porsche in a full time roll ... so it's conceivable that he could remain in F1 and compete at Le Mans It wouldn't be the first time a F1/Sports Cars cross over has happened.

Although I suppose that depends on the F1 calendar ultimately ...
