Rover's First Night Out on it's own...

It had to happen one day.... the Event Horizon ('95 Classic) has gone off Late Night Shopping, - without me...

#3 son, (got his licence 2 weeks ago...) - the one who is most scathing of RR's foibles, contemptuous of the sunroof raining INside, the way it drinks fuel, etc etc....has finally worn me down, and been allowed to 'borrow' it for his First Unsupervised Drive.

Before you ask, yes, I am stressing, biting nails, worrying about a knock on the door... the world ending, worrying how I'll get to work tomorrow, seeing as the Rangie (will undoubtably be...) 'is' pranged beyond salvage.....

I think it's called the Joys of Fatherhood.

Milestone for him, - 'Gravestone' for me !

Or do you guys not have stupid rules relating to not being able to drive anything with 8 cylinders?

    Yep, he's driving a...... VEEEE EIGHT !!!

And so he should.. seeing as he did around 50% of his "Log Book" hours in the rip-snorting, over-powered, anti-social hoon-mobile...

The other 50% was in Mother's docile 3.0 litre middle-aged Magna... (which has nearly twice the acceleration...) but 'only' 6 cylinders..- So that's Safer...

I always tell my parents I'll be home early.
I just fail to specify which day...
