    Yes, I'd love to see a fuel economy control put into V8 supercars.

    .Caculate an energy limit for each race factored in over distance.

    The teams probably have this info already.

    Make them perform better without unlimited fuel usage and pass this technology on.

    F1 have achieved this and every team changes their fuelling for every race, making the car as fuel efficient as it can possibly be.

    I think you'll find nascar and Top Fuel are regulated to pushrods,,
    line up two identical size engines and the OHC will always win.

    Volvo will need more than 620-650hp to be competitive, 680 would be nearer the mark, and yes, fuel economy may well be an issue, as it has been, and is, for Nissan & Mercedes.
