Wow that is one very nice example. Awesome picture thanks mate bloody brilliant:D
The Volvo 1800 is a beautiful car from any angle. Incredibly durable and easy to maintain and beautifully built......but I may be a bit biased:);).
Now may be a good time to learn to post pics.

Rick!
That's just brilliant on so many levels :D. The fact that you actually know someone who had a Zagato is something in itself, that she drove it properly and with string backs is just gold!
I too agree the P1800 is a lovely car, but after so many beautiful ones turning up in Classic & Sportscar during the 80's - in my sports car phase - I looked for something different, and I reckon I'd prefer a 2 door 122 Amazon...even the wagon was pretty!

I always liked the Volvos from the 60's and 70's the 1 series and the 2 series, would have liked to been able to afford a 145 or 245 wagon which were the ultimate dog show/trials vehicle, square, roomy, fast and good handling for when you were running late for a show/trial :D left my modified 186 powered EH wagon after the first bend in the highway :( yet I was not interested in the 164/5's,they looked front heavy.
I've always liked the 1800 ES
