Would certainly have been the first production Torana to be fitted with a V8. Was scheduled to be offered with either the 186 or the 253. I don't know how that fitted in with V8's in other Holden models.
Had it gone into production, would have been the first Holden product to have 4 wheel disc brakes.
Probably one of the best looking rice-burners out there ...........
This one belongs to my young bloke (he now owns the D2 as well - it was mine at the time the pics were taken).

Yep, you caught me out :) I did a 30second google search to get that piccie. There's 3 different shapes to the front bumpers and guards over the years. The rest of the vehicle for all intents and purposes is identical. They had a wheezy little four cylinder right to the end.... just more stainless steel "bling" screwed to it and fancier interiors.

2nd nose (my favorite):

Strangely enough, my 1963 aussie built "D" has (aussie made) seatbelts fitted front and rear with the manufacture date of 1962. I can only assume the aussie assembled cars either fitted belts from new, or they were a dealer fitted option. I would have htought seatbelts would be unheard of in 1963.
