    What do you mean by "its turning into"? I have seen it as a farce a long time ago by the following:
    1. Oh no overseas cars are eating up the aussie stuff for breakfast....dont force aussie manufacturers to adapt.......simply ban GTRs...or maybe Sierras
    2. Limit the Rules so other manufacturers could only have a specific type of setup i.e. v8 etc..... cuts out the other guys
    3. Many many many regulations that limit who can enter.
    4. Big dollar companies only enter........bye bye privateers
    etc etc etc...........limit corporate sponsorship. How you may ask? Simple, get them to develop parts as a team and show them off and sell them..... then effectively we will see evolution and fun...

    Generally I wouldn't have thought you would be hitting potholes slowing from 200+ kmh to 100+ kmh going through an uphill apex, no matter what car you are driving.

    This happened at the Daytona 500 a few years ago... Delayed the race about 4 hrs while repairs were made....

    So, is there a time limit set for the race or will they still be able to run out to lap 161?
