They were the first production turbo cars in the world to get water injection as standard - and running 17psi boost off the floor they sure needed it. Fuels back then weren't what they are now.

I have mine and I 'ain't letting go!

Ours in the driveway... due for restoration.

Strangely - I am drawn to SAABs as well. Always wanted an Aero. There was a special model called the Erik Carlsson (sp?) named after some famous Swedish rally driver, and that's the one I'd have.

Pity about their resale value. You can turn $40,000 into $10,000 in just a year or two. Makes the fuel consumption insignificant.

I wanted the R32 Golf but I had to get his big brother the Multivan to accomodate the kids and their friends. The T5 Tdi is awesome.

I kinda wanted a Rolls Royce Shadow II from the mid '70s.

    There's something about a Roller....

    about $20,000

and a whole lot more to keep it...

    wouldn't mind a recent Caprice...

    or a mid '90s Lexus 400...

or a Range Rover, that long wheel base jobbie (the last of the 'classic' models?) just to be a bit different...

    cheers, GQ

Hummer? Still like the look of those things even if they are not practicle.

I drive a Hummer on a regular basis, You try sitting longside a 12 cylinder diesel for a 12 hour shift, doing no more than 45 klm per hour........better than bedside stories for putting you to sleep. Oh ! What's that big hole in the razorwire fence?

I seriously looked at getting one once (actually a Silver Dawn) - got my Series 1 instead, as it looked a bit more practical for use in the bush.

But if I could find one (and afford to a) buy it and b) run it) I would rather like a Phantom 2 or a Light Twenty. A Silver Ghost would be nice, as would a Phantom 3 - but both are totally impractical, not slightly impractical.

Yea I know there not that great. Just like em.

Early 90 Lotus Esprit would be nice. Yes they do handle like there on rails! Amazing the looks you get when it pulls up at the light with 2 teenagers driving it.
