    2010 John deere crawler stuff

Rebuilding three machines for fun (maybe) help..Fuel injection timing.. HRL transmission pressure and operations..1. engine crank top dead center lined up, fuel injector pump timing mark will not line up (not enough slot in injector pump mount flange to cause the pump timing marks to line up). Engine still will not. 2. Transmission will not maintain pressure at slow engine speeds unless transmission is way over filled with oil..

the timing mark shouldnt be at TDC it should be at the injection point which is before TDC by a handfull of degreees same as for timing a petrol.

The phasing of the pump can be set at TDC but timing it there will see you pumping lots of white smoke.

having to overfill the transmission usually means that the intake for the pump is sucking air

If you are rebuilding John Deere hydrostatic drive crawler tractors, then you are either an eccentric millionaire or a masochist.
