All in all sounds like you've had a pretty good day, and I'm certainly glad to hear about the progress you've been making. Its also been good to hear some of the background info, well, not good in terms of it happening in the first place, but good that you seem to be getting more comfortable letting some more details out of what must be a continually tough topic for you to recollect on.

With the house on the market, where are you going to go when it sells? (Sorry if that's already been mentioned, I haven't noticed if it has...)

hey seano not sure where will end up hopefuly stay here somewhere as the kids dont want to change schools plus the young fella just started high school.we was looking up your way but its to close to my mother & 2 sisters. mother lives at lougth park ,one sister lives at ashtonfield & the other live at metford i could live near sister at metford but not the other 2..plus fattys family have just moved up to metford aswell.
not only that we dont have a bond ,we do with this realestate but you cant interchange (transfer) to another realestate.
so it will have to be something that this realestate has for offer..
unfortunatly everytime they do this we seem to get all there houses that realy need cleaning up the last one we where in had old chook run lawn hadnt been mowed for i dont no how long ,when we moved in here we thought we had to get weelie bins ended up finding them uder the grass on there sides.didnt even know we had fences till we cleaned the place up..

Hey uas fattys going to reply to your post we read it ,she is going threw the same thing now..

Been enjoying this thread but haven't posted much. I admire you guys for getting on with life despite everything.

I'm in my 50s and in Brissie so you won't see me driving past.
    Nice Landy, by the way.

My wife had a depression breakdown a while back and it took her a while to get back on top. She's good most of the time, but knows when she's getting edgy and takes action to beat it. Thats not the same situation as yours, but I guess it shows most of us are a bit fragile in some way. You're not alone.

The granddaughter is a bit obsessive and showed some behavoural problems at school, but we've put it down to a combination of confusion and repressed feelings about her parents getting divorced, plus her IQ is about 4 years above her age, so we think she's just a bit bored sometimes at school. Love and caring seems to be the best treatment.

Incidentally, Ausfree, my wife loves driving our Disco, which has power steering and is easy to park (except in low parking stations). She's short but the side steps help her in. So I'd certainly get your wife to give a Disco a try, if I were you.

How do you find the blue engine in the Landy. Was that in old one or your current one. Did you manage to get that @#5$%*& vari-jet carby or whatever they had to work or did you put something else on ?

    Keep up the good work.

Used to have a SIIA many years ago. 4cyl petrol. Got it balanced and fitted extractors as I was sick of cracking manifolds every time I crossed a creek. Went like the clappers but felt as if it was a gear short. It had Rover diffs both ends, no Salisbury, bolted in Rover 90 (sedan) diffs which changed it from about 4.7 to 4.3 from memory. Was a real cheap half a gear upgrade. Though you could get 'Fairy" overdrives which bolted on to the back of the transfer case which gave you a proper extra gear. Maybe someone on the forum can point you in the right direction.

I drive Stretch Limo's so if a Limo goes past and the driver waves. you know who it is. I have to go to Sydney airport tomorrow to pick up some people to bring back to Newcastle. I work for the mob just up the road from you, thats why I knew the houses in the background of earlier photo's you posted. Also drive mini buses, have to go to Buladelah on Monday to bring some people back from a fishing trip.
