Hi Aus' ... fwiw, look at this link ...
Brass Plugs
Does your FL1 bleed screw look like the black plastic one in the picure at the bottom of the page (with the brass screw) ?? If so, it's the same as the one in my D2 ... (even says "Discovery Series 2 and Freelander") ... I replaced my plastic one with a brass one (failed just like described on that web page ... new hose & brass bleed screw to fix it). Brass one cost me around $13 from Karcraft in Sydney (+ a new hose). Fitted the brass one until I get an Enginesaver, or other (EMS1) fitted up ... don't trust the plastic ones !!

I caught mine just as it failed ... could have been a cooked engine as SWMBO was driving
If it is the same, then the Enginesaver kit for the Td5 D2 will work for the FL1 ... as long as the bleed screw in the FL1 is at, or very close to the highest point in the cooling system.
Hope that helps a bit.
... and are the FL1 front mudguards really plastic !?? Go on ...

?? Wow!
Kev..
