Be very careful buying anything from eBay Hong Kong or China. It all goes through the Hong Kong Post Office and they have recently introduced a scanning policy whereby EVERYTHING is now scanned. I used to buy a lot of phones & car stereo's from china & hong kong used to be here in 4 days then it got to 4 weeks or longer ..I rarely buy from there now.. Buying from the states these days to takes weeks to get here. I'm waiting for a plate for my sparewheel to lift it higher so I can put the spare on . This week will be the second for waiting..Hoping it will get here this week though..Not holding my breath though..

I gave up buying from the US - too much effort - even my steering wheel cover took 6 weeks from the US.

Jason, what sort of plate are you getting for the spare?

My spare is mounted on the back door but when it is on there isn't enough clearance under the tyre to hitch the trailer on - and I can't shift the current plate any higher. I was looking at buying one of those swing-away mounts.

Spare Tire Relocator

Britsh Parts of Utah offers a brand new product for relocating the spare tyre on the carrier on the rear of the Discovery I and II. The relocator works by slightly shifting the spare wheel up (by about 1 1/2") to clear the rear bumper, enabling the fitment of larger tyres.
The Kit comes with all the hardware you need for one of two install options. The first install would be a bolt-on method (no cutting required). The second install requires you to cut the factory wheel studs on the carrier (this is the recommended install). The product is machined from 1" 6061-T6 Aluminum plate and then black anodized for looks.
