Well, all the bookings are made to visit Temora on Sat 2/11/13 for the "Warbirds Downunder" air show. We will be staying in Young and travelling to Temora to see the show. Looking forward to it and giving the Nikon a workout.

Jason, please give up completely. I do know people with Emphysema. It is not reversible and it cannot be cured. Stop Smoking now and do not get worst with Emphysema.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emphysema

If you cannot give up keep using patches, or try nicotine gum. But stopping completely is best. You can do it, do not give up.

Drinking lots of water and having a few showers a day helps. Nicotine is excreted through the kidneys as well as the skin, showers do wash it away before the nicotine can be re-adsorbed through the skin-- that is how a patch works.

Lots of fruit juice, clear broth soups, etc. will also help.

this is from the original five day plan to quit smoking:--

    http://www.uhs.wisc.edu/health-topic...e_Day_Plan.pdf

Jason, You can do it, and this five day plan does not cost you a cent.

If you can stop for five days only, you can quit forever.

I have to agree with JohnF on that.

It IS hard, no doubt, I've been off them for over 3months now and still have intense cravings.

I recommend the "livestrong" quite smoking app on your mobile phone (if you are in to that kind of thing) and I used the nicotine spray as I was allergic to the patches.

I definitely don' get short of breath as easily now.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Vald, glad you have been free of your legal drug addition for Three months. If you can last 3 Months you can last forever-- knowing if you smoke just one cigarette you will be hooked again

Caffeine & Nicotine are chemically similar -- note the "ine" on the end of both these names which in Chemistry does mean they are Chemically related. So drinking Caffeine does increase your cravings for nicotine. So do drink decaf or a caffeine free Herbal Tea, Natures Cuppa, etc., for a while may help with cravings.

Drinking alcohol--lowers will power, affects Judgment, etc., according to Medical Science testing, is a very good way of again getting back onto smoking Cigarettes again, so do be careful of this.

Having "FRIENDS" offering you Cigarettes is a way some get back on to the nicotine habit, so be very careful with that.

And being in a room where you can smell people smoking also will not help.

So please do be careful to avoid these temptations.

If you are tempted to a point where you think you could give in have a cold shower-- Cold shower is healthy as it stimulates the Immune system, and you cannot smoke while in the shower. The strong urge often passes within five minutes and lessens after that time.

Boy, I'm glad I don't have to do all this. I am a life long non-smoker and I believe giving up smoking is one of the hardest things you can do. So my hat's off to anybody who has the willpower to permanently stop smoking!!

Thats the thing it is very hard & everyone is differant in how long it takes to cut down or to stop.. I myself was happy to have cut down to half.. I dont smoke every half hour or the sometimes every 20 mins.. I now only smoke one an hour but most of the time its out to an hour & a half to 2 hours inbetween smokes.. BUT i still enjoy a smoke so am happy to have cut it by half & more most of the time.& Karen is very very happy where i am with it as we are saving over $100 a week.& i'm sure my smoking will cut down even more over time , & the inbetween times will get longer as i now roll my own & i dont sit there of a morning & roll a heap of smokes for the day , If i did that i would smoke every half hour or even 20 mins.. So im happy where i am at the moment & again i'm sure this will get even less smoking over time... BUT I DO ENJOY A SMOKE SPECIALY AFTER T..

    Awesome work.

Do it at your own pace. Every one less you smoke is better for you than if you did smoke it. Only you know what your body will tolerate.

There is NO quick solution. Just as long as you are cutting back.

    Keep up the good work!

Look at it this way, Jase, the more money you save by not smoking, the more you can spend on LandRovers!!!!
