G'Day Jerry, and a merry christmas to you. What made you decide to up stakes and move half way around the world to a country that must be so different from the one from which you came????

My ancestors moved from the Old Dart in 1870 on my mothers side and 1922 on my fathers side for a better life, as things were tough in England in those periods.

Well, we had christmas with the family today (those that haven't moved interstate that is) and everybody seemed to have a good time. Talked to the interstate members on Skype (one daughter in Karratha, WA and the other daughter in Bundaberg, QLD) and it was good to catch up with them.

What did everybody else do????

Just mum, bro and SIL and my self, so very quiet.

Well our Christmas was as usual mother & graham called in for an hour that's it for us. Just a very quiet day. It turned very sour in the afternoon for us though. Fred got the ferrets up & when it was time for them to goto bed we had lost Lucy. Karen & Fred where devistated she must of got outside while I went out for a smoke. Lucy means a lot to this family as use know Fred has a lot of anxieties aswell & we went through a very hard time with her so Lucy was our savvier for Fred. Even I was upset about not having or seeing Lucy as I look after them every morning while everyone goes to work or school. Christmas night we where up till 1 in the morning looking for her & it was cool & raining so I had my doubts as to her survival out in it. The next day we where still looking for her all day & late into the night same as the next day & night.

And Bugga me lastnight about 10 we heard a noise on the back door I got up off the lounge to go tell the dogs to get off the bloody door. But once I got close to the door I couldn't see the dogs anywhere so I steped a little faster & turned the outside light on to see our little Lucy scratching on the door to get our attention was so happy she was here & alive. We called Fred straight away as she was at SAMs the boyfriends she came home straight away.

It would of been her third night out alone last night. We where very worried to say the least.

Also the day before Christmas karen had to have a mammogram & an ultrasound as she has had a sore breast. She goes back on Tuesday to find out. Has small lumps & one dark patch in the X-rays so we are hoping it's just a sist. Will keep use all upto date as we find out.

I have also been working on Harry & I am now just doing the last panel for primer the bulkhead that's it then they will all be painted.

It's funny how animals are ferrets don't make much noise so it's hard for them to communicate. A dog barks or wingers & a cat meows. I've never seen or heard of a ferret ever coming back home after being lost. She got our attention by scratching the door. She once got to the top of a cupboard here & couldn't get down so started pushing things off to get our attention. She's very special to us & has helped Fred to no end. So glad she is home again.

Wow we only have 50 pages left to get to 1000. Oh we also treated ourselves to a small BBQ SO WE HAD A BBQ ON CHristmas day.
