My only criticism is that 10 years ago you got me an awesome deal on a bar for a disco and then let me use your Adelaide digs to install it and I am still yet to return the good favour.

If I could ever be bothered to own a LR with a computer Im sure I would give you a call!!!!

Tombie sounds to me like your priorities are right, family, main work and then side jobs
I enjoy mucking around with/in my landie but my family and job to provide come before it.
im exactly the same one of your ecu upgrades is on my to do list, along with about 1/2 a dozen other things(cv's, front axles, 4.11diff, wheels, intercooler, duel batt, winch to name a few), but it has to wait till i get the time and money to spare and with 4.5 kids it is a very elastic timeline
If we wait years till we are ready to tune up our LR surely we could wait a month or so while you do a rotation at work.

Mike, it sounds as though you are STILL back where you were when we last talked of work and life priorities/ happiness etc. IF you can ditch the shift work and go with the Rover stuff, lets face it your passion, then DO IT. Life is Wayyyy too short.

All the best mate, I'm sure you'll make the right decision when you are ready. Don't forget to ring me every now and then, too..I quite enjoy a chat about all things Rover

MY only complaint is not being able to get you on the blower too!

Mike, the odd ocassion I have needed to contact you,it hasnt been a problem, obviously catching you on the rotation.
Main complaint I here from some of the WA blokes has already been made,contactability/returning emails.
I think if you do get into the hard soldered ECU upgrades you have a great bussiness opportunity.I think I would revert to a non flashtune ECU in my early TD5 rocketship

Your honesty is more than appreciated...

All feedback is appreciated - received and is being put together in an attempt for me to put it all "on track".

I have so many concepts, ideas and designs in my head, on paper and in CAD drawings.

If I can get some things to fall into place I know it will all work.

At the moment, work and house renovations (workshop) are still ongoing and finding time for emails and family are tight - no excuse really - but I'm struggling to juggle it all.

sounds like I need to move to Adelaide.

Mike – I purchased a few items for my D2 couple of years ago and was wrapped with the service and the products (we still are, the TD5 is going great!).

I’m currently looking to do the same mods to the L322 and have not had a response from several emails over the last couple of months, I know you mentioned not complain about contact but that IS the problem – really gives us no option sometimes other than going elsewhere…

My re-map from you in 2007 is great on the power side but as mentioned above does smoke excessively. I do get the surging thing if the engine is booted really hard.

Don't know if it is related but after 2 years I had my first warped manifold and it's gone twice since then!

On the service side I was more than happy with sending you the ECU and getting it back 2 days later.

    cheers

Well Mike - you have asked on a public forum for feedback so here's my honest opinion from my exposure to your business....

To quote Jason - Customer service is part of the product you sell!

In my experience - your product was useless and customer service abyssmal.
Despite numerous promises from you once I had sent you my ECU to turn it around quickly, as I had a driving holiday approaching, you sent it back a week later than promised so we had to let the travelling group depart without us. (And then didn't go due to problems with the ECU)

Your offer to reduce the invoice by $100 was no consolation!

Your ECU tune just simply did not work at all!!!!! Once installed into a normal standard working vehicle, the temp and fuel guages ran backwards, the car used more fuel, smoke poured out of the exhaust throughout all rev range and it was a dead slug off boost and a banshee on boost.

When I contacted you after great difficulty and explained what was going on - you replied quote "Gee that shouldn't happen" unquote.

You supplied me a range of excuses that you were a) out of range working b) your wife was ill c) you were crook d) courier didn't arrive on time e) your equipment was playing up......the list of pathetic excuses went on and on and yes, I have kept all of your emails for record.

Hence, once bitten - twice shy! So I sent the crippled ECU over to the guys in Adelaide who, turned it around on the day they received it and I had it back and installed in the car within 2 days of sending it - now that's service!!

Mike.....we sympathise with work and family commitments but lets face it....

If you promise to provide a service for payment - just do it!
If you can't provide said service - just say why!
Don't offer a bunch of lame excuses that simply leave you looking like a lost amatuer.

Yeah we all have issues and hassles throughout our personal and professional day but, when you are using this large and potentially very lucrative forum to tout for business - then be prepared to supply exceptional and professional service and be justly rewarded.

Supply poor service and sub-standard products...and then request public feedback will result in (Honest) input like this.

I hope you do go on to have a productive business using this forum and, use constructive criticism to better your customer service!
