The queries also included a request for clarification on shipping, lead time and availability, I also assumed that the shipping on the centers + spacers would be different.

We can get you the space rings. They are $40 each
pretty much says to me "we dont got them on shelf, could be a delay"

If Id gotten back a "got the rings to suit the application as requested" in say 1 or 2 days after asking the question come monday I'd probably be bluing up a set of diffs, now it gets to wait till I can guarantee being home for more than 2 weeks out of 6 assuming I dont get posted before that happens.

I would be more than happy to supply them to you if they fit in the box.

What part numbers are you after?

Your private message did not say anything about the rings. You only asked for price.

    heh

Nope placed the order, but I'm wondering if I can get away using the standard axles for the time being or if I should upgrade those next

There's been a few posts over the years on this.
I've been running standard axles in the back of my County for a couple of years with a Detroit. Its done some pretty heavy work and nothing has broken so far.
Maybe I drive it like a granny - but that's been my experience.

In saying that, I pulled a rear hub off the other night for some brake work, and found that the spline on the inner end of the short axle is slightly twisted. Only just noticeable but definitely deformed, so I've got a decision to make now regarding replacement.

FWIW - there is also a school of thought that says if you break an axle with a Detroit fitted then you will destroy the locker. I have yet to see evidence of it happening in a Landrover salisbury.
