Both part numbers are for Dana 60 Detroit lockers.

225SL29A is for R&P ratio 4.56 and higher 35 spline $630 plus shipping
225SL19A is for R&P ratio 4.10 and lower 35 spline $630 plus shipping

I have seen this in the Rover diff a few times but not the SAL

    That one is correct.

Sorry the second number must have been incorrect. It should have been:
Dana 60 4.56 and higher 30 spline - can you give PN and price on that as well.

    Cheers,

Depending on how the Detroit goes I'll be looking to get a truetrac for the front but as it currently has a 10 spline center I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this.

Any ideas if I can bolt the 24 spline true track to the ex-10 spline center then get hold of 23/24 spline axles(I believe it would have AEU 2522 CVs as it's an early 110)

Yes a 24 spl centre will bolt straight in. You just need to buy some 24/23 spline axle shafts from HTE, Ashcroft or Rovingtracks.

Unfortunately Rovingtracks is no more. Closed the doors on 1st May.

I have had a Detroit locker in the rear of my S3 for 15 years, and now have had it in the Defender for nearly 10 years , still works perfectly.
I am thinking of an Ashcroft ABT for the front .
Has anyone had any long term experience with the Ashcroft centres ?

I have had one in the rear of the D2 for about a year, and am about to order one for the front.

Apart from never really stopping anymore (I'm questioning the need in the front a bit) you'd never know it's there. No noise, clunks or thumps just seamless operation. If I understand their operation correctly they actually operate as an unlocker, being constantly engaged, differentiating only when they need for different wheel speeds is required. Operation with Traction Control is fabulous. The braking assists in the torque redistribution when the wheel slips and you only feel the slightest hesitation while traction is moved around.

And Justin's service and advice is excellent.
