Most of, if not quite all, the vehicles are being sold with their maintenance logbooks.

A number of them have had bare chassis rebuilds since 2000 which have included new or rebuilt components, in these cases buyers are getting a 25 year old motor car which has been returned as far as possible to new condition.

moral: read & check the logbook before choosing

Ryan, it is a very high priority for me to get as much information about the Tenix refurb project, but it is presenting a couple of dificulties.
BAE started the work then sold their Land Defence business to Tenix.
Tenix went bust towards the end of the project.
It is secret ADF business ; )
I am working on a number of sources to piece together the full story.
What I can say is I have seen a few of these vehicle go for the same price as non-refurbished vehicles.
So, as 87 county says, check the Mods/ maintenance history.
    Cheers, BDave.

Very useful information already! thanks for the hints

I havent made it out to Minto first hand, I would have liked to get there this weekend, however too busy getting the fam ready for a vacation.

Hopefully the next round of auctions i will start doing some real inspecting and check out the log books - I didn't realise the refurbs were quite so extensive in scope.. interesting

Not sure if this is a minor or major issue but having a look at the blue slips on grays (NSW) they are all listed as 2 seaters . The 4 door wagons with 8-9 seats and the 2 door hard and soft tops with up to 10 seats all have 2 seats listed on the blue slip. This could impact on insurance in a prang or could be a major pain in future rego inspections. In the case of the 9 and 10 seaters they would also need to be regoed as a bus not ute, which is what they had the 4 door wagon as , along with the soft tops.

the 6x6 i just bought is 10 seater but plate on it says its a 3 seater so i have remove all rear seating , not that i want those anyway and have it replated as 2 seater. the condition of mine is great the guy doing the road worthy on it said only problem he could find was small leak on power steer line but he said is was not worth the trouble to fix.

    G'day the-mike!
    Welcome to the forum.
Were you one of the lucky ones that scored an early '90s vehicle that is only 3yrs into its second life?
What are your plans for the seating and IIMV (Interim Infantry Mobility Vehicle) pod?
    Cheers, BDave.

    I'm Live!

    G'Day all.
I have built a basic site with information on the products to get a presence on the web.
NOTE: the checkout is active, but the stock is still in boxes, so don't buy anything just yet, send me an Email if you are interested.
Will update when things are fully functional.
The full guide is still about 3-4 weeks away and not all of the content/ pages/ links are working perfectly.
Would love to hear your feedback.

I will be at Brisbane today and Minto tomorrow taking HD video of anything I can, so if you are interested in a vehicle, let me know.
Say G'Day if you spot me. I won't have time for a long chat though, due to time restrictions. Apologies in advance if I seem rude.
The videos are not free, but I will look after AULRO members.
It sure beats going to the Auctions. I'll post a sample video up so you can preview the product.
This service will cover all major Grays auctions with private/ other auctions available $TBA
