Methinks I've worked out what they are, maybe.
Where were the measurements taken from ?
base of pin or centre of pin ?
(Koni and Bilstein measure from the base of the pin, Rancho from the centre of the bush, obviously all manufacturers measure from the centre of the eye.)

Philco, I pm,d again
Hi Philco
I should be receiving my disco in the next week or so and i was just wondering if you could fit these shocks without a bodylift??
I was thinking a 2" or maybe 3" coil lift but i am worried that if i do so they won't have enough up traval
I'm on a tight budget so can't aford to buy for the next few months.
CHEERS TIM.
hi Tim, I was talking to my mechanic today and asked same question, he said it would be no problem with a 2 inch lift spring as it is close to standard compressed and it would only extend as far as the springs will allow so won't over extend the shock. hope this answers your question.
That is a good idea as the spring will fully extend before the shock.
I saw a British competition disco that was in the outback challenge and was featured in the 4wd action magazine a couple of years ago with cones fitted to it that had great articulation and the springs were seated really well by the cones. it could be a better way than fixing the springs permanently. Just an idea
