I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Wait with a smile, Dale, I think it's going to start early.

Yes there has been some towering cumulus (build up) already. This coming weekend has 40% chance of some rain and Monday 50%. Occasional showers in September but they usually become more frequent during October.
    Cheers, Dale

Ahh,yes, the buildup. The silly season, sitting in the rain in the afternoon storm with an esky. Tumbling waters was always busy that time of year. Memories. We are going back one day. It gets in the blood.

The road crossing has been shifted so the description you have given, which I also remember, isn't possible now.

    Average September rainfall already exceeded.

We had a mate, Yogi, his nick name, had an acreage down off that road, back in the 80's. He built a home , concrete floor, rock walls around the kitchen, curtains down the middle separating living from sleeping. A pommy army veteran, married a beautiful finnish lass, two lovely daughters. Had pigs, my mate, a WO2 engineer, and I took down a load of roofing iron, written off , to roof his piggery, so he could be licensed and sell the pork . We used to go down with our families, shoot buffalo, magpie geese, have a BBQ . Marinated buffalo ribs........His shower was a pipe and shower rose under his water tank. He had diesel generator, and when they cleaned the Navy fuel tanks he came and got the dregs, from the bottom of the tank. He also had a Land Rover, series one. Good times. I've always wondered what happened to Yogi.
