You know what they say about this place; if you don't like the weather wait a few hours and it will change...

We only need four days of reasonable weather, preferably without bushfires, before we get on the boat to Tasmania. Surely Melbourne could manage that?

    Well .... define "reasonable".

    Joking aside, today was beautiful.

So, the Aus Open players copped bushfire smoke, a dust storm, a mud storm (which is still clogging the gutters here and has stained everything orange), 43C temperatures plus extreme humidity, torrential rain and heat yesterday and then ... today.

Can run the 55" TV for 7 hours on 1 battery - if we said around 150 watts for the telly, then around 1000 watt hours or equivalent to around an 80Ah Lithium battery.

Given it can start a circular saw, etc, I'm guessing the inverter specs are quite high. While it could replace a small genset on a site, I bet with 2 batteries it will cost an order of magnitude more than said generator.

Still, nice product, they'll sell them no dramas. Will be interesting to see what they end up costing here in Aus if/when they make it. Based on a 5Ah Milwaukee battery costing around $130 here, I would expect each of the batteries in this thing to be about $2K each - plus the inverter.

    Will see.
From what I can tell, it's a lot smaller capacity than the largest of the Goal Zero packs:

18 today with a cold blustery southerly wind - how’s that?

Think we will have some decent weather again around the weekend by the looks of it - 30 ish both days. When do you get here?

I would hope that the price is similarly smaller. I doubt that Milwaukee is after that market.

Well, it is only big enough to be the homestead horse paddock on a decent size station.
