Thread: removing a trailer-mounted brake controller

Hi all,
have just bought a Trackabout CT which has a generic looking dial based brake controller. I already have a Tekonsha Sentinel controller in my vehicle which is a proportional controller (much better).

How do I disconnect the trailer controller easily?

I thought about just pulling out the fuse on the trailer controller but i'm really not sure if it will work.

The main thing would be getting the blue (?) wire that goes to the trailers brakes hooked up at the plug.

After that it'd be your controller doing the controlling and then it's up to you to disconnect the power and brake light feed to the trailer controller if you wish and also even put the redundant controller on ebay ???
