    Hard Floor Campers

I have been looking at campers for a while and lately hard floor models. All I have looked at have kitchens that slide out from the side and as such are not under cover unless the annex is up.

Can any one point me in the direction of hard floor campers that have the kitchen that slide out the back so are inside the main tent when erected.

    Thanks

Hi Garry, I share your search. Hard floor ones all flip to the rear and the kitchen is exposed on the side unless the annex is up. I think I saw a cub camper that has the kitchen inside the actual bed area at the rear, but it looked very squeezy.

I'll let you know if I have any luck.

Can I ask why you want this? Isn't part of camping getting outside? You could always buy a caravan, they have microwaves too.

Garry, how many people will be sleeping in the trailer? Most of the hardfloor rear fold out models unfortunately have very little 'floor' space, that is why we bought a soft floor side fold out model.

    Would definately prefer a hard floor one though, be interested to see what you come up with. I would be happy to recommend these guys;
    Cape York Trailers
Ours is a Type 3 full body type. Very simple but extra tough.

Justin we have a pioneer hard floor camper and our daughter can sleep on a camper bed on the hard floor with us on the main bed, the floor area is not huge but no problems with a camper or stretcher bed on the hard floor,
If we stay more than 1 night we put up the annex and she sleeps in there..
The kitchen still slides out the side, but there are pro's and cons to this as you would know..

The trailer itself is well built and has been on some pretty average roads with no ill effect..the dealership leaves alot to be desired with there after sales service tho.
PS ( Cassie is 15 and has no prob's fitting on the hard floor )

    Cheers Ean

Thanks Ean, yes I have seen those, well built aren't they virtually a Kimberley? Or is that an Aussie swag?
The problem we have is TWO children/ teenagers Unfortunately not quite enough room.
I agree about the kitchen, I would prefer to cook away from sleep areas, the smell of cooking in bedding isn't pleasant..

When they 'leave', one day, we'll possibly change to something like yours for SWMBO and I.

These guys make their units here in Bacchus Marsh.
Utility Campers ,look at "Set Up".
Their kitchen does both, outside if nice weather and inside if not
They are a slid on but do fit them onto trailers if needed.
    Cheers, Kyle
