Camping trailer tent options for my Track Trailer

    G'day fellow campers
I am looking for recommendations on a tent to fit to the top of our Track Trailer. I have bolted a frame to the top of the trailer which raises the height about 150mm. The frame is about 2.2 x 1.3m.

We previously had fitted a large roof top tent to the top of the trailer. The concept worked quite well as very quick to set up. We ended up returning the tent as we had a few problems (after sales good in this regard). I was keen to go with a Hannibal 2m tent this time. However SWMBO raised a few issues she has with the roof top tent set up. These were mainly that you can't stand up in tent, no space if stuck inside because of rain, kitchen area was not covered & no access to clothes inside tent. Also when kids are older the rooftop tent will be a bit crowded.

Consequently, I am looking for recommendations for a fold out tent to fit to the top of our trailer. It must be quick to set up for overnight stays, preferably have an integrated fly to help keep inside cool, have hoods over the windows so can leave open for breezes when raining, and have the option of a covered awning area for when staying longer than overnight.

    Thanks

Have a talk to Bullets. He did a fantastic job on his. I think he got it custom Made. X-box as well.

From Memory, I think Oz-trail, Ezi Awn and Howling Moon, all do trailer topper tents.

X-box setting his up on the left

I had a off road trailer that had 800mm high sides and got a Melbourne company- Tambo Campers to custom make a camper tent to suit the height. Brilliant quality. If you need someone closer to Brisbane, try Trackabout campers.
