    P3 electrical connector caution

    My P3 is only fitted when required so the electrical lead is normally tucked under the dash. However the connector (socket) is of poor design because the contacts protrude from the shell and therefore can short if they touch metal.

    presume you're referring to the prodigy p3 brake controller? Mine came with a cradle from which it detaches. The cradle has insulated terminals...

    Yes, the Tekonsha. I use the supplied top-mounted cradle but the problem is with the live contacts on the electrical lead when its unplugged from the module.
