Hey gary i have a20lt model and use chemicals from supercrap. Havnt had any problems my only worry would nappy san hurt the seals wouldnt want a leak![]()
I know nothing about porta-dumpers and have never used one but I do know that Homebrand Nappysan is better and cheaper than proprietary products.
Now I enjoy the solitude of a good constitutional so I got a 20 litre model. Now the instructions say to use Product A (sweet smelling stuff) in the top tank and mix Product B (crap neutraliser and sweet smelling stuff) with one litre of water into the bottom tank.
So the big questions are - what after-market product do I put in the top tank and what is the mix ratio? How much nappysan goes in the bottom tank and how much do I put in - all in one go with the initial 1 litre or do I chuck some in with each use. The instructions say that the OEM product is added with the initial 1 litre. I have not bought any chemicals at this stage.
Any other tricks or pitfalls?
Thanks
Garry

Garry, jump on Explore Aus, or some Vanning site. The nomads love nappysan. They will know the mix. I would think a cup would suffice but understand it doesn't actually devolve bog, just dilutes and makes it smell pretty.

Sounds a bit complicated to me with all these chemicals and mix ratios ................................ maybe this is what you should have.....

Hi Garry,
cannot comment on how nappysan goes as I am happy to use the chemical scented flush and poo dissolver products from Thetford.
I've read that Mr Sheen makes the bowl too slippery for skid marks to stick, hence a nice and clean bowl....wish I knew that on our recent trip to Tassie
Cheers, Al.
Thanks but too much information.
I also bought a Coleman pop up ensuite but returned it this morning as no one could fold it up and the instructions were impossible to follow. I spotted a video on how to do the Oztrail ones but that method did not work for the Coleman. Not interested in things that do not work as advertised so returned for a refund.
Went looking for the Oztrail pop up version at BCF, Annaconda and Camping World and none had any so ended up with an Oztrail that has a frame.
Cheers
Garry
