    Holden wheels to Landy wheels

    hi all,

I want to convert my standard box trailer 6x4 which has holden wheels not sure which type and go to a landy wheel and bigger tyres. already inverted the axle so it sits below the springs to give more height. my question is whats the easiest or cheapest options of changing them over. i dont really want to change the axle but do i have to. any landy series, rangie or D2 will do though there seems to be a lot of sunraysia style wheels around for cheap. photo attached of wheel. thx

Hi there, you should be able to go to any trailer parts supplier and buy a pair of hubs to suit Land Rover rims,if not they should have little trouble getting you a set. You will need to know what hubs are fitted now ie. Holden bearings etc, so that you can use your existing axle. Regards John

Just being doing this swap to a 6x4 that i'm rebuilding into a camper trailer, as above you'll need new hubs with 16mm or 9/16th studs for RRC/D1/Defender or commodore hubs for D2 wheels.
On my trailer the axle was too short to accept the offset of D1 rims so i went from a 64" to 68" long axle.
