    Nostalgia

    I just wonder if among us there is any old enough member to remember these beauties.
    Perhaps some of you have family photos with vintage cars and vans.
    This image it is before my time of arrival to Australia but it is very nice

    Yep, I remember. Think I see my parents' Holden in the middle there. 'Three on the tree' and no heater.

    Have been told that it is in the Gold Coast and perhaps 1953 because there is a Holden of that year in the photo.

    Having been born in 1949 and lived in Brisbane until I was about 25, I don't think it is the gold Coast. I used to go down ther ewith my parents often in the 50s and 60s.

    It looks like Fraser Island in the background so maybe Pialba, or if Stradbroke or Moreton it could be around Redland bay.

    There is /was nowhere on the gold Coast with still water and a pier AFAIR, unless that is the old Labrador Bridge but I think not as there is no spit in the background.

    Looks a bit like some of the Port Phillip bays, would have been hot in those vans with no tree's around.
