Just bought one of those outlets as well. . With only 2 power points in the van, the one near the sink always had at least one charger plugged into it.

Got mine from caravans plus for $20ea but they are no longer on special and are back up to $40

    https://www.caravansplus.com.au/cata...ducts_id=16379

They are thicker than the usual outlet so you need to be sure you have room out the back so to speak.

i have to make a 10mm spacer out of ply for my one over the sink but the side one over the fridge looks like it will be fine.

    Hi,
I have bought heaps from caravansplus, compeditive pricing and prompt delivery.

Their website is very good in explaining what each product does, and what else may be needed or suits it.

Very happy customer, no affiliation etc.

    Cheers

Yes, I've found them the same - onlytakes 2 days from order to get anything from them.

Re the Power point - I just used a standard mounting block on mine - only a dollar or so from an Electrcial wholesaler or a few more from Bunnings if you don't have a box of them lying around like I did.

    like this - https://www.bunnings.com.au/deta-sta...block_p4430375

Also freed up the other double pole outlet to stick somewhere else.

    Try something....

When we plug an iPhone in to those USB ports it will charge but the keypad/screen becomes unresponsive...

    Tested several. All the same!

Yeah, seen that before - haven't tried with this unit though yet. In my particular case that's not a huge issue as I generally just stick them on charge overnight.

Not sure in Daves case though.
