Don't forget to check the suspension and brakes and look for rust and leaks. Are the seams all welded?

    i know the brakes work.
i'm not 100% what to look for on suspension and welds?
i know circle welds are good

Nice even penetration, not a rounded bead sitting on top of the metal, often more so on one side of the joint than the other, also need to keep an eye on under cut or to hot of a weld that burns away the base metal and cause a weak spot. If it dosnt look nice and smooth and even, odds are its a poor weld
    cheers

Also, welding should be seams not just spots.
