might just take you up on that offer! we'll talk over a egr kit and some welding;)
progress!
finished the trailer hubs today.
i had bought blank 10'' electric drums because i wasnt waiting 8weeks ''maybe'' for the LR ones to arrive!
and they would have the wrong size stud anyway.
I wanted to be able to run any LR S1 disco/RRC and defender rim, so to do this meant ide need a locating spigot in the drum face to centralize the alloy wheels.
2 bits of hollow bar later and abit of maching and the spigots were done.
while they were in the lathe i got the PCD marked to the face so i could drill the holes myself.
bearings are installed, just need to finish flipping the trailer rims and get some tyres fitted and she be rollable:)

I like the black rims, was thinking of doing similar to mine. I've got a couple of questions I hope you can answer.
-What sought of mob did you get to flip your rim centres (tyre shop, fabricator....) or did you do it yourself?
-If not done by yourself, what did it cost?
-Are they painted or powder coated?
I've got 10 D1 steel rims that I want to tidy up. 4 that I got off ebay are offset (not flipped though) and I was thinking of matching the rest up to them. Am considering powdercaoting or painting black at this stage. Either way I plan on sandblasting them first so that I get a good finish. The idea is to have all the rims interchangable between my disco and the exarm trailer that I will hopefully start turning into a hard floor camper soon.
I'll be watching this thread with great interest.
Matt.
yep i flipped them myself, i paid morton and may to cut the welds out, $30 each, it was just to painfull to do them with a grinder (like i did the first 3:eek:)
after they were apart i spun them on an old hub and cleaned them up with a flap disc on a 5'' grinder.
ive undercoated them, light sand then use kill rust black enamal, this stuff is had as hell.
if i get bored i may UV clear coat them? but as they are going to be getting scratched and covered in mud it probably best to not clear them.
